Frankie & Johnnie’s is back and officially reopening in Springfield. After closing in 2025, this beloved neighborhood staple returns under new ownership, ready to serve the community once again.
The new owner Walter Pacheco comes with more than 35 years of experience in the industry and is behind several of the Antonio's Pizza by the slice locations, including the original Antonio’s in Amherst, where the standard for slice culture was built. We are proud to welcome back Jill Giard, a former owner, to the new Frankie & Johnnie’s team. Her return helps carry forward the spirit, relationships, and neighborhood warmth that have always defined this place.
This is not a restart. It is a rebirth. A return to a proud tradition, sharper, stronger, and ready to serve Springfield once again.

Beyond Pizza – Because a Good Shop Does More
Frankie & Johnnie’s delivers a classic neighborhood pizzeria experience built around fresh dough made from scratch daily and bold, crowd pleasing flavors.
At the heart of the menu is pizza in multiple styles. Guests can enjoy New York style pies ranging from traditional cheese to specialty combinations like Meatcravers, Buffalo Chicken, Hot Honey, and White. Thick, square Sicilian pies offer a fluffy interior with a crispy crust, while Detroit style pizzas feature caramelized brick cheese edges and elevated builds such as Spicy Vodka Baller and Nashville Hot Chicken.
Our menu includes hearty Italian comfort dishes like chicken, meatball, eggplant, and sausage parm dinners, along with pasta favorites such as marinara and chicken broccoli ziti Alfredo, each served with salad and garlic bread.
There is also a full lineup of hot and cold grinders just like they used to make including steak and cheese, chicken cutlet, buffalo chicken, turkey, cold cut, cheeseburger, and classic parm subs. Specialty wraps served with fries add even more variety.
Familiar favorites like garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, fries, onion rings, and wings available bone in or boneless with a wide range of sauces. For lighter options, fresh salads include garden, Caesar, Greek, Italian chop, and more.
